From a leg of the Giro d’Italia
to the after-work round
Val Pusteria - Dolomites - South Tyrol
Between HEIGHTS AND VALLEYS, BY THE LAKE OR ON THE PASS... in the green Puster valley: racing bike holidays at their best! The racing bike paradise stretches from the world-renowned Dolomites, Würzjoch pass, the Kronplatz Dolomites Region/Tauferer Ahrntal/Alta Badia and the many side valleys of Pustertal: Gsies and Antholz, around the national park Riesenferner-Ahrn, the Meransen high plateau and Pfalzes to mountains around Pfundres. In an 80 km radius road bikers experience everything to make a racing cyclist’s heart beat faster. The region offers plenty of diversity. From a leg of the Giro d’Italia to the after-work round, everything starts right outside the hotel door. Tarmacked side roads wind their way through all the side valleys and deep into the Dolomites or even across the passes to East Tyrol and Lienz.
The best times for riding a racing bike are May, June, beginning of July and September. During the mid-summer months there is much traffic in the Dolomites.
